The project aims to improving the quality of medical care for the people of Wenchi and its environs.
SOD CUTTING
Sod-cutting on April 13, 2017 for the construction of a physiotherapy centre for the Methodist Hospital, Wenchi.
In presentation were there the Bishop for Wenchi diocese and also the board chairman for the facility, Rt. Rev. Fred Samuel Ansuh, the MCE for Wenchi municipal, Dr. Prince Kwakye Afriyie. Refresenting the funders of the project are Nana Kwame Abrefa Busia and his wife.
The targeted groups for the project are the orthopedic patients and the general public. A construction of 932.16 square meters physiotherapy unit with 399.57 square meters training and gymnastics room for men and women, an open treatment room with physiotherapy equipments, two changing rooms for men and women. Each changing rooms havings its own WC and shower and a store room of 4.70 square meters.
Construction and equipping of a physiotherapy centre over a funding period started on July 07, 2018 and its expected to be completed on Dec. 31, 2019.

About Us
The Methodist Hospital was established in 1951 by the Chiefs and people of Wenchi. It started as a dressing station in a small room at the current location of the Police Station. It was transferred to its present site, also in 1951, when a single block of the local Methodist Middle School was released.
